Philip Stoltzfus

Philip specialises in governance, business strategy, investment and enterprise risk management, market strategy assessment, and business development, helping start-up, emerging, and accelerating organisations achieve rigorous, institutional quality structures and processes. He has over 40 years of market experience including banking, trading, establishing and heading a bond, FX, and derivatives trading desk for one of the largest banks in the world, and together with Scott Ganis, founding his own quantitative investment management firm which he successfully ran for nearly 15 years. Philip has served on multiple commercial and charitable boards, and has a particular expertise in the field of higher education, with 20 years of board experience including two stints as chair of a major US university operating in Lebanon. As a result, Thayer Brook is able to provide consultancy services in the area of digital transformation for educational institutions. He holds a BA from Princeton University.

Scott Ganis

Scott specialises in operations and systems development, helping clients make the most of their digital assets through robust procedures and infrastructure. An expert with over 40 years of experience in operational and systems architecture, he has designed and implemented front and back office business systems for banks, investment banks, family offices, and hedge funds. At Mizuho Bank, Scott worked with Philip Stoltzfus to build the proprietary trading group's risk and management framework. The pair went on to co-found Thayer Brook Partners where Scott used his knowledge of applied mathematics, statistics, and trading to develop quantitative models including the methodology used by the Standard and Poors Systematic Global Macro Index. Scott holds a BA in Economics (with a strong focus in applied mathematics and statistics) and an MBA, both from The University of Chicago.
